Immunity Challenge and LOTS of Freebies!!!

I am taking part in the Designer Survivor competition again this year at Brownie Scraps. What this means for you is that you have the chance to pick up a HEAP of awesome freebies throughout the competition!! Let's start with a bunch of free templates... To ensure that people were serious about taking part in the competition, the first challenge was to create a template. You can view all of the entries HERE and most of the freebie links should still be available.

Here is my template (and you can find the download links HERE):

So we caught the ship, were thrown into teams and given out first challenge (to create a kit based on a selection of colors and randomly selected items per team member) which is due on Thursday. We were also given our first Reward/Immunity Challenge which was to create the logo to be used for the competition! All logos have now been submitted and it is open to a public vote to determine whose logo will be used, and the team that created the winning logo will each receive a pack of CU products as well as immunity from elimination this week (in addition to getting to see their logo on everyone's previews for the rest of the competition).

I am part of the BROWN team and we created this adorable logo, based on the logo from the "Survivor" TV show but with a Digital Scrapbooking twist, along with the color scheme that is being used on the Designer Survivor blog.

Since this is open to a public vote, we need your help :)
Please vote for the BROWN team in this poll.
No login required - just a simple click or two. Also, feel free to get your friends, family and colleagues to vote too.

If you would like to also check out the logos created by the competing teams, you can do so HERE. Just be sure to vote for BROWN ;)

Apart from that, my latest kit (Sweet Cheeks) is about to be released and I have a gorgeous quick page freebie for you that was created by the very talented March (Marni Designs).

You can download the QP from HERE.

And don't forget to...
Please vote for the BROWN team in this poll.

Friday Freebies - Template and QP

I've just posted the following template and quick page over on the Brownie Scraps Store Blog.

Head on over to the blog to snag them for free.

Merry and Bright - Brag Book and Quick Page Freebies!!!

I've had a QP waiting to be posted for over a fortnight now and I just keep forgetting to post it! Tonight I also created a Christmas Card/Brag Book page (as part of the 'Festival of Lights' activities over at Brownie Scraps) so I decided that I really should post it before going to bed or else you may never see it :)

So, here they are... They have both been made using my 'Merry & Bright' kit which can be found here. Click on the preview images to download each page.

Here is an example of what can be done with the page:

Here is the Quick Page that I created a few weeks ago. It's rather amusing that the brag book page I created tonight is so similar to this page. I guess I must really like the glittery holly and striped papers! Oh well, I guess it just means that your QP and brag book page will match beautifully :) Once again, click on the preview to download the quick page.

Little Spooks - Vote and QP Freebie!!!

I've got another little treat for you. I entered my 'Little Spooks' kit in the "Brownie Bake Off" competition over at Brownie Scraps, as part of the fun stuff happening there for their Harvest Festival. Anyway, the requirement was to post a preview of a fall or Halloween themed kit along with a QP freebie and then everyone can vote on the kit they like the best. Although I put my entry in late, and I don't actually have a kit preview in my entry, Ramona was so sweet to allow me to still be a contender for the fabulous prize (a set of custom layer styles in my preferred color scheme).

So please take a couple of seconds to vote for 'Little Spooks' in the poll HERE. To see the other contenders (and to grab your freebie QPs) head on over to the Brownie Bake Off forum at Brownie Scraps.

Enjoy!

Designer Survivor - Brag Book Freebie!!!

For this week's Reward/Immunity Challenge, we had to create a brag book mini album using our kits from last week's challenge. We were allowed to choose any size or shape for the pages and had to create between 3 and 7 pages. Originally, I wanted to create a hybrid style of album in the shape of the word "BABY" with each letter (front and back) as a separate page. After careful consideration, I decided that you probably should have a back page so would need to have 8 pages (whereas the limit was 7). I also decided that it may reduce the marketability due to it no longer being such a "quick" task to use them. So, I decided to go with good old standard photo size and created a mini album consisting of four 4x6" quick pages using my mini kit 'In Your Eyes - Wonder'.

To get a better feel for what can be done with these quick pages with very little effort, here are some examples:

If you like what you see, please vote for Snuggle Berry Pie Designs to win the reward/immunity challenge in the simple poll HERE.

If you have not yet grabbed the 'In Your Eyes - Wonder' mini kit, it is available in both of my stores (and part of the 66% off sale until August 31) OR you have one last chance to download it for FREE for one day in my previous blog post.

To Download:
1. Vote for Snuggle Berry Pie Designs in the very simple poll HERE.

2. Check out the Brownie Scraps Gallery to download the brag book pages.

3. If you haven't already done so, check out my previous post to download the mini kit.

4. If you happen to have multiple browsers installed (eg FireFox and Internet Explorer), feel free to vote again using the other browser :)

5. If there is anyone within reaching, shouting or emailing distance, feel free to also ask them to vote too :)

Rainbow of Love - QP Blog Train (BOTCT Week #1)

It's the first week of the Battle of the Creative Teams over at DSA and I am part of the incredible "Brownie Girls" team (the Brownie Scraps store team)!!! Our first challenge was to create a white space layout using a coordinating colour scheme amongst the team and an optional theme. As we are the store team, we can use any kits in the Brownie Scraps store whereas the teams for specific designers can only use their designer's kits. We decided to go with a rainbow colour scheme where each of our 5 team members used a different colour (red, orange, green, blue & purple) as the main colour of their layout. To add to this, we also decided to make the focal point of our layouts reflect the arch of a rainbow with the first layout (red) focusing on the bottom left corner, the second (orange - mine) focusing on the centre of the left, etc right to the purple layout with the focus in the bottom right corner. We also decided to use a theme of highlighting a special part of our child's body and called the set 'Rainbow of Love'.

The great news for you is that you get to collect all of our gorgeous layouts as quick pages!!! All we ask in return is that you head on over to DSA and vote for The Brownie Girls!!! (and you may as well leave us some love in the gallery too :)).

Here is my layout:
Rainbow of Love ~ 2 of 5 ~ A Touch of Heaven

And here is the QP:

Funky Tweens - S4H/S4O Quick Page Freebie!!!

As mentioned in my previous post, I made it through to the third round of The Next Best Thing designer contest and this week I had to create a freebie quick page as well as a kit.

via The Next Best Thing contest at Digital Scrap Ink (free registration required):

How would you like to receive a free add-on for any of my previously posted mini-kits that is customized to include whatever you would like? Well, read on...

Brownie Scraps is having a bake sale tomorrow and they want to get the word out so have asked people to blog about it. Anyone who makes a purchase at Brownie Scraps (either during the sale or otherwise) is asked to leave my blog name (Snuggle Berry Pie) in the comments field and I will receive a coupon to the store. That's great for me, but doesn't seem fair to you, so I have an added bonus in that anyone who makes a purchase at Brownie Scraps and leaves my blog name in the comments field, will get to request a free add-on to one of my mini-kits. Or maybe you would just like a quick page using the kit - DONE! You get the picture.

So, head on over to Brownie Scraps where you can pick up some MAJOR bargains on absolutely top quality products! Almost everything there is 25-35% off for today/tomorrow only (Thursday 23rd April) including CU items! This even includes my all-time FAVORITE kit called "Funner With Flowers" FOR ONLY SIXTY-FIVE CENTS!?!?!?!? ARGH!!! I've gotta go... so many things to buy :)
