This is the final week of the design challenge at Brownie Scraps. We were given a choice of 4 photos and had to use one of them as inspiration for our kit. After starting with a "Funky Flowers" theme (based on the cushions on the couch in one of the photos), I got through designing one flower and was bored with the kit. I then took a closer look at the colours I was using, and thought that they would go nicely as a Carnival/Theme Park style of kit.
Once I started designing, I fell in love with the theme and the elements that I could make with it and I put together a whole heap of gorgeous elements and papers. At the same time, I was accepted as a designer for the Haven Designz store so I am providing you with a sampler of this Fun Park kit and will be releasing the full kit in my new store on June 1st. Check back here for my store opening specials and to see a sneak peek of the full kit.

I wasn't sure how to go about commenting back as I'm new to blogger.. so I figured I'd just comment onto your blog - don't be mad. =o\
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I LOVED your kit. I saw it and almost *died* from excitement.. even without a raptor. +laffs+ I did put it otgether the way you had it colored, but I'm too obsessed with pink for my own good, so I had to change it or it wouldn't feel like *me*. =o\ I would love to see a raptor, if you do decide to make one. I'd be ecstatic!! =o))) I have no idea how you found my blog but I'm glad you liked it. =o))
I just wanted to say that I LOVE your stuff and can't wait to see what other goodies you make. You are a fabulous designer and I have enjoyed all your kits from the Brownie Challenge. I don't like to leave comments there so I came here to your blog. I hope that's ok. Anyway, thank you and good luck!
ReplyDeleteI don't actually know how to respond to comments so figured I would at least respond here and hope you both see it :)
ReplyDeleteScrap Raptor - After reading your comment I started making a raptor but I don't know how recognizable he is because I wanted to keep him looking cute and, well, raptors are normally kinda scary looking :) I'll keep working on him and keep you posted.
Cara - Thanks so much for your comment. You made my day :) I had another look at my kits from the challenge and I think they need some fine-tuning but I'm getting there. Do you have any suggestions on the kit themes or types of colours you would like to see in the future? I like making birth announcements and scrapping layouts of my daughter so I have a tendency to go for baby or little girl kits but am open to any suggestions.
I have on idea how to respond either - but I am alerted of comments here. =o)) So it works out!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand - I knew raptors would be hard! My only suggestion would be to keep it cute however you want, the real way to make it a 'raptor' is to add that claw to the feet. That's the easiest way to tell if it is a raptor. =o\ +laffs+ But I do look forward to it!! =o)))) And I completely appreciate you making a raptor for me, it makes me feel super specail!!
